Individual Therapy

A private space to understand what you are carrying and what you want to be different.

Understanding what brings you in

You can begin wherever you are.

Some people come to therapy with a clear concern. Others simply know that something feels difficult or disconnected and are not yet sure how to describe it.

Individual therapy offers time centered on your experiences. You and Lisa can look at what is happening now, the patterns involved, and the changes that matter to you.

Experiences and concerns

People may seek individual therapy when they are experiencing

  • Worry, stress, or a persistent sense of pressure
  • Effects of difficult or traumatic experiences
  • Grief, loss, or an important life change
  • Relationship patterns, boundary concerns, or conflict
  • Low mood, emotional distance, or feeling stuck
  • Questions about identity, values, direction, or personal growth

How counseling may help

Counseling shaped around the person, not a formula.

Lisa’s approach is person-centered and may draw from EMDR, Internal Family Systems concepts, somatic awareness, and mindfulness. What you use together depends on your needs, preferences, and the focus of the work.

Therapy can make room for deeper understanding and practical change. You might make sense of a response while also exploring what could support you in daily life.

A whole-person perspective

Attention to mind and body

Thoughts and emotions often have a physical dimension. Lisa may invite awareness of tension, breath, energy, or other body cues as useful information, always at a pace that respects your comfort.
