Your counselor
Lisa Bright, LCPC
Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who brings a present, connected, and practical approach to individual therapy.

A place to speak openly
Feeling heard is an important part of the work.
Lisa aims to create an environment where clients can talk honestly about what they are experiencing and feel met with attention and compassion. Her approach respects each person’s history, relationships, values, and ways of coping.
Along with thoughts and emotions, Lisa pays attention to what may be happening physically in the body. She may help clients notice cues connected with stress, emotion, trauma responses, or other experiences as useful information.
Approaches and tools
Responsive to the person, not limited to one method.
Depending on a client’s needs and preferences, Lisa’s work may incorporate EMDR, Internal Family Systems concepts, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and person-centered counseling.
Lisa is EMDR trained. She considers which approaches fit the client and the focus of the work.
Education and background
Clinical training informed by long-standing mind-body work.
Lisa earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University.
She also brings more than 20 years of experience teaching yoga and meditation. This background informs her understanding of mindfulness, body awareness, and the physical responses that can accompany emotions.
Spirituality in therapy
Included only when it is meaningful to you.
Spiritual resources can be incorporated when a client wants them and when they are appropriate to the work. Spirituality is not required. Lisa respects each client’s beliefs, questions, and preferences.
